Job Satisfaction as an Economic Indicator

Explore correlations between job satisfaction and other social and economic indicators. Traditional economics looks at unemployment figures to gauge the overall economy. However, even in times of low unemployment, there still may be some social unrest. Perhaps economists have set the bar too low with the question of unemployment, and should look into job satisfaction as an indicator for some aspects of our society.

There are highly validated, simple surveys already developed for something similar. See the "Well-Being Index" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-Being_Index.

Not sure how to deploy wide spread assessments from which to draw conclusions. There's also a hurdle in getting people to 'value' the metric.
